Today the Steelers announced their 2010 schedule. I am looking forward to the new football season. I posted their schedule on my blog, and can’t wait for the 2010 football season to begin.

New Orleans Saints Win First Superbowl
Congratulations to the New Orleans Saints on winning their first Superbowl over the Indianapolis Colts with a score of 31 17. Being a Steelers fan I usually cheer and support the AFC team, but I was also glad to see the Saints win. The Saints did a great job with dominating the second quarter. The on-side kick for the start of the second half of the game was fantastic. Totally unexpected. Watching The Who was also fun. The kids would have liked the show if they didn’t fall asleep.
Super Bowl XLIV
The Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints are heading to the Super Bowl XLIV. For me I still don’t know who I want to cheer for. Support the Colts, an AFC Team or, pick the Saints who finally after 4 decades make it to the Super Bowl. Either way I will have a great time watching the game from the comfort of my basement with plenty of good food and drink with my family.
Here are the Steelers Playoff scenarios as provided by the NFL:
- Steelers win + Texans loss or tie + New York Jets loss or tie
- Steelers win + Texans loss or tie + Ravens loss or tie
- Steelers win + New York Jets loss or tie + Ravens loss or tie + Broncos loss or tie
Hopefully the Steelers will make it to the playoffs this year. If the Steelers fail to make the playoffs or are eliminated I need to deiced which team I want to back for the Super Bowl.
Steelers Desktop Theme for Windows 7
Last night I was playing around with Windows 7 and decided to make a Desktop Theme dedicated to the Pittsburgh Steelers. You can find the theme in my Box.net plugin on the sidebar of this blog. Download Pittsburgh Steelers Win7 Theme.zip to your Windows 7 PC.
Please note the theme was made on Windows 7 Enterprise. I’m not 100% sure if it works on other versions of Windows 7. I might try it on my Windows Vista PC at work. I’m really staring to like Windows 7. I think there is some real good quality in this product. I still prefer Ubuntu Linux as my OS of choice, but I think I will install a VM on my new PC and run both.UPDATE:
Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Penguins on beating the Detroit Red Wings! It was a great series to watch, except for Game 5. I guess I’ll have to purchase a 2009 Championship ball cap like I do when the Pittsburgh Steelers won Super Bowls XL and XLIII. Yes I know the Steelers won 4 other Super Bowls, but I don’t have any ball caps from back then.
