The Pittsburgh Steelers finished another year of football. I guess I should be happy with a .500 season and a victory over the Cleveland Browns. Here’s a picture of the Steelers vs. the Browns in 2006.

I have been in the IT profession over 27 years. Most of my experience was providing Workstation / Desktop support for several clients.

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This blog had 15,000 views in 2012. If each view were a film, this blog would power 3 Film Festivals
Today I noticed it been 3 months since I wrote anything here on this blog. I also noticed that I’ve been using iOS for 11 months and have yet to post anything about my experience. Heck, I don’t have a page of my favorite iOS apps.
So I guess that’s what I’m doing on Christmas vacation.
Happy Talk Like a Pirate Day! Below is a video clip from Family Guy where Peter and his pirate sea dogs have a sword fight with Shelly Boothbishop.
Fortune with you and yours with fair winds and a following seas.
I love Star Trek. I remember watching Star Trek – TOS reruns at a kid in the 70’s, watching the animated series, and having the Enterprise “action figure” play set (here is a recreation of the 70’s toy). Today I’m still a huge fan of Star Trek. I have a Next Generation custom made uniform (I look like fat Riker when I wear it), pins, books, blue prints, DVDs, and other stuff.
This morning I came across a post talking about the Google Doodle for Star Trek – TOS. If you don’t get to see it before it comes down, here is a Youtube video of everything you can click on.
Live long and prosper.
Happy Labor Day my fellow Americans!
I’ve made it another year staying employed as an IT consultant. The last year was very productive for me. My project for migrating the client I’m assigned to from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Office is almost complete. We migrated everyone from BlackBerry to iPhone 4S for Exchange server connection (including iPads), and shortly we will be migrating from Windows XP to Windows 7.
Tonight I’ll be feating on slow cooked ribs, grilled corn on the cob when the rain stops (thanks remnants Hurricane Isaac). I might tape off a small section of my office to complete the accent stripe for the office walls, and maybe read a book tonight.
